The 151st NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Houston, Texas over Memorial Day Weekend was well-attended by the firearms industry and Guns.com was there.
Taking place across "14 acres of the latest guns and gear" at the George R. Brown Convention Center, May 27-29, manufacturers, retailers, and outfitters were on hand with lots of new stuff. While we will have much more details on all of the below in the coming week, check out a quick gallery to see if anything whets your appetite.
Colt shrunk the King Cobra Target to a 10-round .22LR, in all-stainless format (Photo: Colt) Speaking of Colt, the company had a set of beautifully factory-engraved handguns on display including this Python (All photos unless noted: Chris Eger/Guns.com) And James Pease, one of Colt's engravers, was on hand to show off his art. When it comes to wheel guns, Beretta finally had some Manurhin MR73s to try As well as new optics-ready models such as the Beretta M9A4. And the new Beretta APX A1 FS FN Multicam NRCH SCAR models The new FN DMR3, available in black, FDE and gray The new FN 509 Midsize Tactical, offering a 24+1 round 9mm that is optics and suppressor-ready while being about the size of the Glock 19 While the FN SCAR SC is an NFA item that has been around for a few years, word is on the street (not from FN) that a pistol variant could be somewhere on the horizon. So squee to that. Meet the new Maxim MD9, the company's first 9mm pistol. Yes, it takes Glock mags. The new IWI Masada Slim is a totally new gun from the old Masada. A micro 9 comparable to the Springfield Armory Hellcat or P365, it has a 13+1 capacity There were also puppies, albeit of the "do not pet" variety There was the new .38 SPL DAO Taurus 856 Executive model, complete with Altamont grips. The new Taurus G3 Tactical is a 17+1 G3 TORO model in FDE that is suppressor and red dot ready. Chuck Liddell Century Arms had their new Bulged Front Trunnion BFT47 models on display, including one with a little bit of flash to it Also flashy, over at the EAA booth, was a gold-series EAA Girsan MC P35 Hi-Power clone, something that is expected to be available later this year As well as some more hi-speed variants, set for release as early as June KC Eusebio, 8-time world speed shooting champion. Ruger had their new Marlin 1895 and 1895 Trapper, both stainless 45-70s, drawing the crowds Anderson announced three new AM-10 .308 models at the show including variants with 16, 18, and 20-inch barrels. PTR had their retro 9CT on display. Fitted with the old "jungle" forearm familiar to Carl Weathers fans, it ships with an 8.8-inch 3-lug barrel, 25 rounder mag, and bungee for $1800. Ponies... Mossberg's 940 PRO shotgun line keeps getting bigger and better, with a Combat model on display. The company also now has an optics-ready version of its MC2c pistol. In other shotgun updates, SDS Imports had their new VP12 model shotgun, a good-feeling Chinese import with a Saiga VEPR magwell, on hand. Ronin Tactics's Tu Lam Rock Island's new TM22 Total Metal .22LR rifles are all-metal, constructed of aluminum and steel from tip to butt, including the magazines. ATI's new side-charging GSG9 pistol will soon be available in variants that accept a Glock 9mm or Sig Sauer P320 mag. The sleeper hit of the show, hidden in the last row of exhibitors, was the Coil Accelerator. These guys are living in 2035. Stay tuned for more coverage from NRAAM '22 all week.
