The Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation announced that Aero Precision recently donated $10,000 to its mission dedicated to educating children to prevent firearms-related accidents.
Founded in 2016, KSF seeks to inform children and empower them to make safe decisions when in contact with guns. Reaching nearly 21,000 kids in four states, the non-profit brings a variety of classes to youth and families interested in firearms safety. From the base Firearm Safety Education course focused on "no-touch accident prevention" to Kids Firearms Safety 2 which introduces live fire at a range with certified staff, the classes aim to educate thereby reducing the number of firearms accidents. Donations, like the one from Aero Precision, ensure KSF can continue its march to prevent accidental shootings among minors.
"The goal is to empower our youth to make good, safe, decisions if they were to come across an unsecured firearm. According to the [Centers for Disease Control], we lose on average 8-9 per day to unsecured firearm accidents inside of the home. KSF is actively trying to stop this. Support from the firearm industry is critical to our success," the group said in a news release. "This kind [of] donation will help us expand our program nationally, together we will save lives."
